CD COVER
For the first assignment we had to create a CD album cover, for a single, of a song of our choice. After we completed this, Mr. Adams assigned us a song to create another album cover.
Before you begin, you need to know the meaning of the song you chose, and who it was by. I went online and looked up the lyrics for both of the songs. You also need to know how to use Photoshop properly in order to design your CD artwork.
First I set up the blank page on publisher for what I wanted the final product to look like. Then, I went online to get the lyrics to the song for the inside of the cover. I created artwork for both the cover, back, and inside of the product. I then creatively designed a single cover that would be appealing to someone looking to purchase the song.
For the final product, I have to single, album covers created for the songs "Set Fire to the Rain" by Adele, and "Hallelujah" by Leonard Cohen. The front covers each display artwork created with two or more images on Photoshop, the name of the song, and the name of the artist. On the inside of each of, there is an image relating to the song, with song lyrics. On the back cover of each, it includes a record label, thee artists name, a bar code, the store it came from, and a copyright symbol.
During the project, I received pretty good feedback. The final output of my project was very neat, organized, and creative. My artwork went along very well with the songs, and my album artwork was very well constructed. The only other suggestion I got was for next time to fix some of the pixels on the cover of "Set Fire to the Rain".
During this assignment, I much better learned how to use Photoshop, and how to create album artwork. Now I am much better at using Photoshop and if I was to do another project that involved editing and designing, I would be able to easily complete it. I can apply these skills in digital photography, and editing my work. This can help me if i ever decide to become a professional photographer and decide to use Photoshop in editing and creating my images.
If I was to do this project again, I would re- design the front cover of "Set Fire to the Rain". I wold create is the second time to look less pixaly, and i would design it in color. I would use different artwork, and bring more colors into it. Bringing in more color could attract more people to buy the single.

Engineering Design Model (Waffle Example)
For this assignment, we learned how to use the engineering design process, which making waffles. We used the process of making waffles to help relate to the process. The first step in the Engineering Design Process is input. The second step is process. The third step it output, and the final step in the process is feedback. We can relate this process to the waffle making process. First, the input would we gathering all the materials and ingredients to make the waffles. Then, the process would be putting the ingredients together and making the waffles. Third, was the outcome, what the waffles looked like and what you created. The finally, the feedback is what the waffles tasted like and the feedback you received from people eating the waffles.
